LONNIE GARRIS III

Chief Information Officer

Mr. Lonnie Garris III, (Colonel Ret) is the Chief Information Officer for Pluribus, Inc.  An accomplished senior Air Force officer with proven experience as a career Intelligence Officer and Cybersecurity Professional, Mr. Garris possesses fifteen years of tested leadership directing intelligence collection and analysis activities impacting wartime operations and over five years of experience directing Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and Information Assurance (IA) activities-- to include Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) for U.S. military and Intelligence Community (IC) information systems and facilities.  

 

Mr. Garris is an experienced leader of people and processes, serving as an Air Force O-6 Deputy Group Commander and leading over 1,000 personnel and over $10Million in facility equipment.   Leveraging Six Sigma / lean methodologies, Mr. Garris led two critical cross-functional teams which successfully identified technical issues with Air Force Intelligence Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) data-link latency and imaging sensor and full-motion video anomalies.  Deepening his CIO acumen and skills, Mr. Garris developed a cyber-threat intelligence framework to better inform network defenders and provide senior leadership with recommendations to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems.

 

Mr. Garris holds numerous certifications and advanced degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southern Connecticut State University, a Master of Arts in Management and a Master in Business Administration from Webster University, a Master of Military Operational Art & Science from the U.S. Air War College, and executive education at Yale School of Management (Completion Oct 2020).  His relevant certifications include COBIT 5 Foundations Certification, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITILv3 Intermediate), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Six Sigma Green Belt.
